All the files available on this directory are either freeware, shareware, abandonware or have permission to be here. No copyright laws are intentionally violated, and files will be removed immediately if the file owner wishes it and can provide proof of ownership. Contact the webmaster for more details.
In some cases, you may find that the same file is available in more than one format. We will always strive to provide either a .exe, .rar or .zip archive as standard, but other compression methods may also be used to save you downloading larger files. One of these is 7z, or 7-zip, which is a new compression method being developed on Sourceforge. To open .7z archives you will need a special compressor such as PowerArchiver.
There are many advantages gained by using 7z compression. The file is almost always smaller than the equivelant .zip/rar, the file can be uncompressed faster and archives can be split across several archives to allow transport eg. via floppy disk. The only downside is that it's not as well known as .zip/rar.
